I first met Tatevik when I was looking to expand the ethics cases outside of the US. Tatevik discusses How to best counsel your client when they want to respond unethically to an unethical competitor How to react calmly and ethically in highly emotional crises Should PR create a global code of ethics for influencer marketing?
Over the last 10 years, I’ve also learned a ton–about blogging, about social media, about writing, and about human behavior. Sure, I write about issues and ideas that link back to services I provide. But, I also write about things that interest me–like the # StarbucksCup fiasco a couple weeks ago!
I finished my masters degree in PR and corporate communication at the end of 2009 – only 19 months ago. PR writing: My degree never had a dedicated PR writing course, although writing activities across the abovementioned subjects certainly did help build my writing skills.
Most schools offer the basic courses such as Introduction to PR, Writing, Research, Campaigns, Case Studies, and Crisis Communications. She graduated in 2009 and then started teaching at Stockton University in New Jersey. How has your PR education prepared you for your career? Ai Zhang received her M.A.
I recently tried to get a big blogger to participate in a group blog project I am working on (in other words, an ask of far less magnitude than “write about me/my biz”). I will never again trust a review this individual writes. And when I started in summer 2009, we wouldnt have paid cash to a blogger we wanted to work with.
As with anyone writing about the transportation industry, the transition to zero emission vehicles, and what it takes to service them, is top of mind. The best part was discovering these were two regular guys who had a passion and strong work ethic, and put in 15+ years of work to get to that point. I used the G.I.
If we go back 15 years ago, we can all see that today's world is literally turned upside down - in how we carry out our projects, write press releases, host events, and press conferences. Here, I place a significant emphasis on the ethics of how we do things. By the way, 22 years ago, I wrote Bulgaria's first business ethics standard.
Our professional codes of ethics say that ultimately our role is to serve society and sometimes that is seen as being in conflict with the interests of the organisations that we work for day to day. You can find her on Twitter or writing for the Global Alliance’s website or newsletter.
Ambiguous, leading, loaded and double-barreled questions are among the more common shortcomings, particularly if the person writing the research questions has a limited understanding of survey design. Another area that results in research inaccuracy relates to the framing of questions , where answers by the respondent are impacted.
Until his health started failing (he suffered two heart attacks), he awoke religiously with the sun, had an impeccable work ethic and, above all, put family first. Mark as read Approve comment Hello Shona, Thank you so much for writing this, I know it will have been hard to do. He was also one of the most disciplined people I knew.
There’s no doubt that’s why I started this blog eight years ago in 2009. One example: Writing this post four-plus years ago about how the Sons of Anarchy lived by the PRSA code of ethics. Fun post to write. And since then I’ve realized so much personal fulfillment my cup runneth over.
Marketing also has purse strings that can be creatively – and ethically – spent to appease a specific rep with the right reference. Make it safe and easy: they talk – you write – they edit and approve (this would work for a podcast too). Ask your customers for interviews on your corporate blog – soft interviews.
The equity owners wrote big checks for those transactions – and they aren’t inclined to write another. This is the first outside investment the company has taken, which has been boot-strapped its founding in 2009 by Galant and Lee Semel. What makes them appear strong, is actually a weakness. Onward with the PR Tech Sum ….
You can be an ethical and persuasive PR pro or marketer without selling your soul. I saw this clearly in 2009 when a story I was pitching by email didn’t get traction until I turned it into a corporate blog post. I do work in, and write about, business and there’s plenty of propaganda there too.
