In 2014 advertising spend in Africa increased 14.6%, compared to a global average of 3.2%. Local independent PR agencies, some of which operate across several African markets. By 2020 African consumers will be spending more than a trillion dollars. 80% own mobile phones. 80% of mobiles sold in Kenya are smartphones, a 50% increase.
