As the practice of publicrelations has changed over the decades, so has its name – morphing from “publicity” and “press office” in the 1920s to broader and more inclusive terms like “publicrelations,” “publicaffairs” and “corporate communications.”
A big misconception about publicrelations is that the only thing PR pros do is mediarelations. Here's how the PublicRelations Society of America defines publicrelations : “Publicrelations is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics.”.
There are lots of useful publicrelations and communication news sources one can benefit from across the internet. From tweets to blogs, many PR organizations publish great PR content.
