Celebration of Britain - with international travel limited there’s likely to be a rapid resurgence in British art, culture and tourism. First-time internships are often a letdown, and mine – a position with a tourism bureau in Pennsylvania – was no exception. For the better part of a year, I resigned myself to watching her dial the telephone and pick up print jobs with a level of theatrics usually reserved for daytime television. Start small.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved art, writing and being creative. Knowing I had a way with words, I eventually wanted to find an industry that utilized those skills and allowed for creativity. While I excelled at all my classes, I would always rather write an essay than take a multiple choice test.
