My, time flies. I turned 40. Bring it on!
All the comments were thoughtful, but there were a few that made me think a lot more about this whole “socialmedia&# thing. But truth be told, after a while, this ‘socialmedia’ stuff has made me consciously LESS social both in person and online, and I have my reasons. Interesting.
In fact, a lot of audiences aren’t on Twitter: based on a November 2010 study, the Pew Research Center estimates 8 percent of Americans use Twitter. But considering that there are plenty of other socialmedia fish in the sea, it’s not his best option in terms of the time he has available. I flat out told him no.
I always loved to write. If they just posted something awesome on socialmedia, like receiving a prestigious reward, we are one of the first to congratulate them! In industry media and on PR/marketing blogs like this one, we talk an awful lot about “master brand” socialmedia marketing work. Without a huge agency behind the work, who’s going to write all those scintillating case study posts? However, we don’t talk nearly as much about “employer brands.”
